Our Little Garden

We started a garden from seed earlier this season.
We transplanted them in a little plot of ground by our pool.

tomatoes, carrots, collards, onions, cucumbers, bell peppers & sweet potato

onions

collards

The collards are a growin'

tomatoes

This sweet potato plant grew from a cut sweet potato, not a seed.

Collards grow like weeds :~)

The kids have really enjoyed watching the garden grow.

bell peppers

Our first tomatoes!

onion

cucumbers

The garden has really grown quite a bit since the last pictures were taken. We have already harvested some of the collards. Unfortunately, only three of the collard seeds we planted matured. The cucumbers haven't grown much more than what is pictured. I don't know if they're just late bloomers or not going to do develop any more. We have a bunch of tomatoes and looks like the peppers are going to produce well. We planted a lot of carrot seeds, but only a handful sprouted. We're new to gardening. Patrick gardened quite a bit with his grandfather when he was young, but that was a few years ago.

That is quite an ingenious little garden, Franklins! It proves almost anyone can grow a few good things to eat! (Not meaning that if the Franklins can do it, anyone can -- meaning, that little plot of ground is going to provide you with good stuff!) Glad it is going well.

Mrs. Frodge,
who looks forward to
seeing y'all Sunday!
