Country Gospel Concerts

Just recently our family has gone to two different Country Gospel Concerts. The first one we went to hear the Chuck Wagon Gang and see our old pal Ryan and Friends :)

This girl seems to be excited :)

And I guess this is Daniel's attempt at an excited face...

Thanks again for taking us, Daddy! :)

And, yes, I am excited too ;)

We're on our way!

And here we are! :)

Waiting for the concert to begin.

Mr. and Mrs. John Schmidt.

Why, hello, Jeffrey and Ryan! We're so glad you could come and see us tonight!

Jeff: "Truman's teeth are like stars!"
Ryan: "Are they? How?"
Jeff: "Yes, they come out at night." :D

Jeff: "No, no, no! Don't put me back in the box! Matthew James Diebler! Look into my eyes! Don't let him put me in the box! Look into my eyes!! Matthew James Diebler, look into my eyes!"

Ryan with Harold and Irene. They graced us with a song.

The Chuck Wagon Gang

Sorry about the blurriness of the pictures. The lighting was so bright and I had so far to zoom that they just became grainy. But they are pictures just the same. :)

Then just the other day we went to New Hope Baptist to see the Browns.

The youth pastor did a little skit about us being captives to sin, and for example he "handcuffed" a little girl with zipties. After he had finished explaining that not until we let ourselves be captivated by the Savior can we be set free from our captivity, he realized that he didn't have any scissors or a knife of any sort to set the little girl free from her bonds. And you know Daniel, he always has a pocket knife on him. So he volunteered his services, and was the hero for the evening. :)

Then the Browns got up to sing again and they got the little kids to sing a special song with them.

"You are especially special.. to Jesus Christ the Lord!"

It was really cute :)

And then Michaela and Adam blessed us with a duet.

She is so good!

The mother and daughters sang together beautifully!

Later we reminisced for a while :)

A very enjoyable time was had by all!

Hair Cuts

Last Wednesday, Miss Amy Whicker and her daughter Becca came over and spent the day with us. While they were here, Miss Amy cut both Emilie and Mama's hair. We had a wonderful day filled with fun and laughter. Thank you, Miss Amy and Becca! Come back again soon. :)

Emilie's hair was long and light and pretty when she (0r I) took the time to comb it. But it was getting to be a ratty mess. :-/

Can ya tell she likes it? ;)

Mama's hair was getting to be pretty long. Which is usually the way she likes it, but here recently, she has been wanting a "new look" again. And thanks to sweet Miss Amy, she now has it. :)

It was hard to get a good shot because Mama kept talking ;)
(I hope she doesn't kill me for posting an unflattering picture ;)

My pretty mama :)

With new gorgeous hair! :)

Spider Webs

Outside this morning, when I woke up, there was a misty fog over the yard. I grabbed my camera, and with my little sister tagging along, we discovered tiny spider webs in the field.

Some of them were slightly broken or unfinished. But this one was practically perfect!

The fog was so misty and hazy when we first went out...

It started to clear up way too fast though....

But it was still quite lovely... :)

There is just something about droplets of dew hanging from spiders' webs... Makes me smile :)

As we were about to go back inside, I noticed this millipede... and well... I had to take its picture. ;)
Well, that's it for Spider webs, foggy mornings, and millipedes. I hope y'all enjoyed!
