The Answer

Well, we have had quite a few e-mails with guesses as to our whereabouts. The question was a bit tricky because it asked where have we been and where are we now. We did go to Tennessee for a visit, but we are not there now. We are no longer in Oklahoma. OK is a beautiful state, but we are very grateful to be away from the chicken farm. It's a long story, of which I will go into later, but for now we are in Florida staying with my parents. The clues were in the pictures of Emilie's birthday. For followers of the blog, you may recognize pictures from my parents house from previous posts. Anyway, I'll sit down and write the story that led us here soon, so keep checking back in.

Bye for now,
KelliPaige

Happy Birthday, Emilie!

Happy 6th birthday, Emilie!
It is hard to believe it has been six years since this picture was taken.

I love this picture

Getting to know each other

Adoring her new sister

Gentle big brother

Sadie turned nine, three weeks after Emilie was born. Emilie now wears this same pink nightgown.

Another picture that I just love.

Emilie celebrated her first birthday two days after Hurricane Charlie. Consequently, her birthday cake ended up being a hostess cupcake.

Whatcha looking at?

Adorable!

Daddy decorating her birthday cake today.

He did a great job!
Please ignore the toy gun in the back ground ; )

An excited six year old.

Her first Bible cover.

Bobbing for apples

Good job!

She persevered and finally got one!

As an added bonus... her wiggly tooth got looser.

Let Daddy see your tooth.

Is this the one?

I lost my first tooth on my birthday!

A Visit from My Parents

My parents came for a two week visit. They were here from Father's Day to just after Independence Day. The kids put on a couple of plays and we participated in our own private bell ringing on the 4th.

My parents took the kids to a Civil War battle field in Prairie Grove, AR

The king meets with his daughters to discuss the upcoming celebration of Emiletta's birthday. Unknown to them, the evil Lord Belchazar has other plans.

Lord Belchazar tricks the princess into taking a walk with him and then locks her into a high tower.

"Emiletta! Where are you?" called Princess Rose.

"Here I am, Rose," cried Emiletta.
"What are you doing up in that tower? Let me help you down."

"Now I have you both!" exclaimed Lord Belchazar as he locks Princess Rose into the tower.

The king discovers his daughters are locked in the tower and rescues them after defeating Lord Belchazar in a duel to the death.

The End
Jack and the Bean Stalk
adapted by Sadie
staring
Daddy as "The Giant" & villager
Sadie as Jack's mother & the giant's housekeeper
Daniel as Jack
Emilie as the princess

"Jack, please go see the princess... "

"Please, Your Majesty, we have no food."

"I have something better than food. You may have these magic beans."

"Hey Jack! Have you heard? The princess had been kidnapped by the giant and there's a reward for whoever rescues her."

"Wow! I can see my house from here."

Jack is befriended by the giant's housekeeper.

"Fee fie foe fum..."

Jack rescues the princess, cuts down the bean stalk and kills the giant.

The End
I hope you have enjoyed our programs.

Visiting Family in Tennessee

I'm sorry it takes me so long to update posts.
Here are pictures from our trip back in May to visit my brother and his family in Tennessee.

Guess where this was?

Inside this miniature cast iron cook stove. Sadie was fascinated by it.

Don't it look like they actually like each other?

Baby sitting. Aunt Ronda's willing, 'cause Emilie's baby doll doesn't make messy diapers.

Their neighbors have goats.

Uncle Michael invited us to join his fire fighting class on a field trip to a local museum.
