Hiking back up from the lake. Note to self, wear tennis shoes next time ; )
and escape pod with parachutes
balloons!!!
What fun!
I need to get a better picture, but I couldn't resist even a bad picture. Sadie made paper dolls for Emilie, complete with extra outfits.
It twirls!
My parents arrived in time to celebrate Emilie's birthday on the 15th and Mr. Franks took us all out sightseeing Sunday afternoon.
Daniel, Mr. Franks, me, Sadie & Emilie
My mom, Mr. Franks, me, Sadie, my dad, Daniel & Emilie
My mom, Patrick, me, Sadie, my dad, Daniel & Emilie
Mr. & Mrs. Claus in the desert
Mr. Franks, "What did I do? Oh, don't be such a baby, it's only a couple of cactus splinters."
We had lunch at an old mining town
sign inside the jail
"How!"
This little church actually has weekly services.
Last stop of our tour was the anchor of the USS Arizona
Thanks Mr. Franks for a wonderful time. We are having a wonderful time out here in Arizona. Glad my parents have been able to spend some time with us. I hope you all have enjoyed our latest post of pictures. Until next time...

Oh, what a wonderful birthday, Emilie! I love those dresses! And the scenery pictures reminded me of my girlhood in New Mexico -- nothing like the desert! Oh, and the Clauses just HAVE to get away from the North Pole once in a while! Thanks for sharing the journey with us, Franklins.

Sorry. Please feel free to delete ONE!
Looks like Emilie had a wonderful birthday...nine dresses...that sounds like a book title!
The mining town looked very interesting. I'm glad you all are enjoying your time in Arizona!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Emilie!!!
The balloons looked like a really fun idea! I love the "twirl" dress picture! Precious.
What a sweet sister Sadie is to make those paper dolls - must have taken a while. BTW - Sadie, how's the sequel to the story coming?
I see Daniel's mind has been up to its usual creative excellence!
Arizona does have a distinct beauty doesn't it? Boy! That mining town looks like fun.
It was nice to see your parents. Hope they are doing well. Tell them hello for us!
Miss you guys! Thanks for the update.
